Closure

I endured the deep cuts from the blood dripping from my begging knees

I meekly watched you tolerate my alluring behaviour as you please

Knowing you all too well led to inescapable godforsaken mayhem

Thought this tragic state of hurt would vanish with a fervent “amen”

They say I’m sick in the head, well it’s ‘cause you messed with my head

I would’ve cherished you for a lifetime if I hadn’t trusted you like any other

Ran as fast as I could, faster than lightning, chasing the one right thing

You’ve turned the page over my aching body, leaving behind the unfinished pursuit

From the look in your eyes, I knew it was time but I had nowhere to go

Taking all that I was and tossing it in the sinking ship couldn’t drown or bury the past

Was it what you did or what you didn’t do? Remind me, my memory’s blurred

Isn’t it ironic how the most trusted soldier took the rifle and shot the loyal?

I’m not claiming innocence or guilt, knowing that this could never be rebuilt

My heart has finally moved past the scars and all, this is my closure

The Tennessee Titans vast receiver will certainly miss out on "a couple of weeks" according to Ian Rapoport. I discussed the upgrade on today's Home Run Throwback podcast. Listen here. Burks had a fantastic offseason and has been having an excellent camp by all accounts. His growth right into a WR1 is key to the 2023 Titans becoming a legit Super Dish contender. There is a possibility he could be back for week one versus the New Orleans Saints, yet I wouldn't wager on that. A few weeks is quite obscure. Also…
